b'Fifteenth Annual Kathleen M. Foley PALLIATIVE CARE RETREAT & RESEARCH SYMPOSIUMWELCOMEIt is my great pleasure to welcome you to the 15th Annual Kathleen M. Foley Palliative Care Retreat at the Lodge at Torrey Pines at La Jolla, California. The purpose of our retreat is to provide an annual forum for interdisciplinary palliative care researchers to come together to network, learn from each other, discuss the science of palliative care, and develop new research ideas and collaborations. Participants include grant recipients from the National Palliative Care Research Center (NPCRC) and American Cancer Society (ACS), the research scholars of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine (AAHPM) and Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association (HPNA), and other leaders, investors, and supporters of the field of palliative care. This program provides an overview agenda for the next two days, followed by descriptions of the sessions offered. A section on the 2022 retreat attendees includes photographs and brief bios to assist you in networking and collaborating with others.Thank you for taking the time away from your work and/or family and, in many cases, traveling long distances. We are delighted that you have joined us this year, and we hope that this event will be a personally and professionally rewarding experience. Finally, a special thank you to our co-sponsors ACS, AAHPM, HPNA, and Emily Davie and Joseph S. Kornfeld Foundation. Warm Regards,R. Sean Morrison, MDNPCRC Director'
