b'34BIOGRAPHIESJennifer Snaman, MD, MS,is an Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School and an Attending Physician in pediatric oncology and pediatric palliative care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Boston Childrens Hospital. Her research interests include communication and decision-making in adolescent and young adult patients with advanced cancer and early parental grief following the death of a child from cancer. She developed MyPref, an adaptive conjoint analysis-based decision and communication tool used to quantify and communicate medical treatment preferences in AYA patients with relapsed cancer facing future treatment decisions. Dr. Snaman is a 2019 NPCRC grantee. Her research involves palliative care in adults with congenital heart disease, with a focus on well-being and resilience, in an effort to promote quality of life. Dr. Steiner is a recipient of a career development award from the NPCRC and an NIH K23 career development award. She is formerly a T32-supported palliative care research fellow and an AAHPM research scholar.
